Yesterday I thought I knew, today I have no answer

Yesterday I was big and bold, today I am much smaller

Yesterday I ate all things I liked, today, I must repent

Yesterday I excelled myself, today I underspent

Yesterday I had big grand plans, today I’m simply hiding

Yesterday I read out loud, today I’m hardly speaking

Yesterday I planted seeds, today I cannot grow

Yesterday was all I needed, today I feel so low

Yesterday was just a day, today is like no other

Yesterday I wish you’d stay, today you can do a runner!
